Our Daytime Diva always manages to keep us on our toes...
Yes, we are just as amazed as you are. We know that our Daytime Diva is always on the move, but it feels like each achievement is more epic than the one before.
And we cannot say we expect anything less from her.
All this after our very own Carol Ofori announced that she will be starring in an upcoming episode of ‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire’ – an action-packed Disney+ original animated anthology which draws on the continent’s rich and diverse histories and cultures.
The series will present 10 sci-fi and fantasy stories featuring bold and brave new worlds of advanced technology, aliens, spirits, and monsters.
The series fits in so well with Carol's overall essence.
The series tells stories from creators hailing from Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. ‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire' promises to take viewers on an unforgettable ride into Africa’s future, presenting visions of the continent as never before seen.
Carol stars in an episode titled, ‘Mkhuzi: The Spirit Racer’, and plays the role of titular character Mkhuzi.
In this episode, we meet Manzo - a half-human, half-alien teenager played by Nasty C who dreams of becoming a superstar racer like his mother, the legendary masked racer Mkhuzi.
Epic indeed.

I am very excited to be a part of this Disney+ production. The fact that talent from the whole African continent is involved makes me so proud. I’ve always wanted to create content for Africans, African children and for the world to consume our content as Africans so I am so happy to be contributing even more in this amazing animation series – and I hope it’s the first of many exciting projects from Disney+ that shines a light on Africa and its talent.- Carol Ofori
‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire’ is executive produced by Peter Ramsey (co-director of the Oscar-winning ‘Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse’), alongside Tendayi Nyeke and Anthony Silverston from Triggerfish, the lead studio on this anthology.
Other local celebrities lending their voices to this project include Pearl Thusi, Nasty C, Tumi Morake, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Lillian Dube, Gigi Lamayne, Candice Modiselle, and more.
‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire’ will debut globally on 5 July 2023, exclusively on Disney+.
It's definitely giving us 'Wakanda' vibes, and we are completely loving it. And the fact that our Daytime Diva is portraying a powerful female character leaves us with chills...
The future is bright and we are excited for young girls and boys to watch this electric series.
