I think it is incredibly brave of young 18-year-old Troye Sivan, the star actor of the South African based hit movie, Spud.
I love that he has chosen YouTube as his forum for his coming out. There's is no ambiguity or reason to deny its authenticity, so it's out there - warts and all.
I love that all the homophobes out there who have just had this news thrust upon them and are very fond of the character that Troye plays in the Spud movies have some very hard questions to ask themselves.
Do they now vilify this guy and suddenly start hating on the character, actor and movie franchise?
Will they now have to accept that this young man is asking them to rethink their position on homosexuality?
Well done Troye for coming out in such a public way, most gays just come out of the closet but your coming out was more of a crash boom bam exit! (with Jazz hands of course).
