UEFA Champions draw group stage draw preview

The UEFA Champions League draw takes place on Thursday night in Monaco with the group stages of the competition beginning on 12-13 September.

Holders Real Madrid are in pot one alongside the winners of Europe's seven other biggest leagues - Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, Monaco, Spartak Moscow and Shakhtar Donetsk.
Pot two contains Manchester United and Manchester City, as well as five-time winners Barcelona and the owners of the world's most expensive player - Neymar's Paris St-Germain.
Tottenham and Liverpool are in pot three, while Celtic are in pot four which features Dutch champions Feyenoord and the runners-up from the Bundesliga, Leipzig.
No team can play a club from their own association, with the exact draw procedure to be confirmed before the ceremony.
The top two sides in the eight groups will progress to the UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw,
The eight third-placed teams will be involved in the UEFA Europa League round of 32.
