Ratepayers bemoan Msunduzi mayor’s failed probe
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
Ratepayers in Msunduzi have slammed the council's decision to block an investigation into the conduct of Mayor Mzimkhulu Thebolla.

This month, the Democratic Alliance tabled a motion calling for a probe into allegations of maladministration and financial misconduct.
The claims were first raised by the City's former municipal manager Lulamile Mapholoba during his suspension last year.
Msunduzi Association of Residents, Ratepayers and Civics CEO Anthony Waldhausen says the council’s decision on Wednesday reflects a troubling lack of transparency.

" The mayor doesn't have anything to hide. Surely, he can put his case to an independent investigation.
"But we are also hoping that the MEC for COGTA's forensic investigation in Msunduzi Municipality will also expose all the corruption that is happening in our municipality."
