to appeal a disciplinary committee decision to expel him.
Du Toit was suspended in May after he was filmed urinating on black student Babalo Ndwayana's belongings, prompting widespread condemnation of racism.

The varsity's deputy vice-chancellor Deresh Rumjuggernath says disciplinary proceedings found that he was in the wrong and there is no alternative but to expel him with immediate effect.
"The university viewed this case in a very serious light."
"This was evident in, amongst others, the original temporary suspension of Du Toit from the university while also appointing Justice Sisi Khampepe to lead an independent commission of enquiry into alleged racism at the institution.”
