Delay in cabinet announcement leaves GNU on shaky ground
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The IFP says it's growing concerned about delays in the finalisation of President Cyril Ramaphosa's cabinet.

It's after reports emerged of an alleged stalemate between the ANC and DA in negotiations for cabinet positions.
Ministers that will make up the cabinet fall under the 10-party Government of National Unity.

Ramaphosa and DA leader John Steenhuisen are said to have ironed out their issues during a meeting on Friday, with negotiations reportedly being finalised soon.
IFP president, Velenkosini Hlabisa, says the country is eager to move forward.
“The work of governance must begin; we cannot remain in a pattern where there is so much to be done. It is essential that the president, as the constitution allows him, be able to reach the stage of announcing the new cabinet.”
