Trevor Noah's 'The Daily Show' contract extended to 2022

Comedy Central has announced that Trevor Noah's contract with 'The Daily Show' will be extended until 2022.
South African comedian Trevor Noah will be spending another five years as host of 'The Daily Show'.
Comedy Central revealed this week that the 33-year-old's contract has been extended until 2022.
As part of his new contract, Trevor will produce and host year-end wrap-up specials for the network.
Comedy Central shared the exciting news on Thursday.
"He's a keeper. Trevor Noah will host The Daily Show through 2022, along with year-end specials," the network wrote on Twitter.
Comedy Central president Kent Alterman says, “Trevor makes us look smart on a daily basis, and for that we’re grateful".
That's not the only reason they are keeping Trevor.
Thanks to our golden boy the show has 'The Daily Show' is "pacing to Finish the 2016-2017 Season as the Only Daily, Late Night Talk Show to Post Year-Over-Year Growth among both Total Viewers (+14%) and Adults 18-49 (+6%) and the Most-Engaging Late Night Series across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram".
It's also poised to finish the third quarter of 2017 as the Most-Watched Daily, Late Night Talk Show among Millennials, according to a press release.
