Trevor Noah celebrates birthday weekend in South Africa

A few weeks after vacationing in South Africa with his girlfriend, Minka Kelly, Trevor Noah was back in the motherland for another special occasion. 

'The Daily Show' host turned 38 in style.  

The usual suspects - Anele Mdoda, Khaya Dlanga, Sizwe Dhlomo, and Xolisa Dyeshana, were on hand to help make Trevor's birthday a weekend to remember. 

"Happy birthday Mr Wordle himself @trevornoah. Today is the oldest you have been, and the youngest you will ever be. Make the most of it buddy!" Xolisa captioned a picture on Instagram. 

The image showed Trevor posing next to a Wordle-themed birthday cake.

A picture shared by Sizwe showed that Trevor's girlfriend was also in Mzansi for the celebrations. Minka Kelly was spotted dancing with the comedian and his friends.

Trevor and his crew also went go-karting. They're all big F1 fans and showed each other no mercy when they took to the go-karting track. 

Despite a "spectacular crash", Sizwe finished in first place during one of the rounds ahead of Trevor. 

"Ja no… today was a good day!" Sizwe tweeted. 

Trevor has a lot to celebrate in 2022. He will soon be hosting the GRAMMYs and will also headline the White House Correspondents Dinner in April.

The year is also shaping up to be a good one for Minka. She made her debut on season two of HBO's hit series, 'Euphoria', in January.  She plays a rich woman in the series, which also stars Zendaya. 

Minka spoke about her new role in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. She told the magazine that her first day on set didn't go as planned. 

The 41-year-old revealed writer and director, Sam Levinson, wanted her to be naked in the scene. Her character asks her babysitter Maddy (played by Alexa Demie) to unzip her dress after a night out.

“[San] thought it would be more interesting if my dress fell to the ground. That was my first day as a guest on this new show, and I just didn't feel comfortable standing there naked," she told the publication. 

Minka says the director listened to what she had to say and agreed to change the scene. 

“I said, ‘I'd love to do this scene, but I think we can keep my dress on.’ He was like, ‘Okay!’ He didn't even hesitate. And he shot a beautiful scene and got exactly what he wanted."
