Stars react to DJ Sumbody's death: 'Oupa, we failed you'

"What a lovely gentle giant" - tributes continue to pour in for Amapiano producer, DJ Sumbody.
A manhunt is underway for the suspects involved in the fatal shooting of DJ Sumbody. The Amapiano producer was gunned down at the weekend.
"Gauteng #SAPS are searching for suspects following a shooting in Woodmead where two people died and one was seriously injured, in the early hours of Sunday, 20/11/22. Police appeal to anyone with information to call #CrimeStop 08600 10111," the SAPS said on Twitter.
Police revealed that two people were found inside a VW Golf with gunshot wounds. Both victims were declared dead at the scene. According to reports, a third person in a separate vehicle was taken to the hospital.
The motive for the shooting is still unknown.

Hours before his death, DJ Sumbody - whose real name is Oupa John Sefoka - was gearing up for his 'All White Veuve Clicquot Picnic'. Several stars including Somizi Mhlongo were expected to attend the event on Sunday.
Somizi took to Instagram to pay tribute to his close friend.
"I am numb….. I no longer know how to feel and react to the news of loss of loved ones..::we definitely are living on borrowed time," the 'Idols SA' judge wrote.
Somizi also shared details about their last conversation on Saturday, which was about DJ Sumbody's all-white party.
"His last words to me were don’t forget to wear white tomorrow coz it’s gonna look like we are in heaven which obviously we didn’t think much about that statement…..:: and little did we know that today [Sunday] it’s gonna be exactly that LITERALLY heaven," he wrote.
Somizi has vowed to wear white to DJ Sumbody's funeral.

Other celebrities and high-profile figures also paid tribute to DJ Sumbody.
"Oupa, we failed you. Like many others, you are a victim of a mafia state, failed state. Robala mfanaka mara I’m not OK," EFF leader Julius Malema.
Singer Lady Zamar says DJ Sumbody will be missed.
"This is super shocking and heartbreaking to the core… Sumbody looked out for his ppl, never held grudges and was welcoming, funny, a hustler, and [a] game changer in entertainment and in many ppls lives + he gave great advice…" she tweeted.
Focalistic wrote: "Love you forever my Mayor. MY BIG BROTHER. Please can we stop the violence. PLEASE. I’m gonna miss my OG. For real. Kale kgopela, are rataneng. Are tlhokomelaneng. Life is short."
Rapper AKA also shared his condolences.
"Terrible terrible TERRIBLE news. What a huge loss for the game … what a genuine, hard-working, humble man. RIP OUPA," he tweeted.
