Rebecca Malope’s moving performance at Mary Twala’s funeral

The queen of Gospel gave an unforgettable performance at the
funeral of veteran actress Mary Twala.
South Africa is mourning the death of veteran actress Mary Twala, the mother of Somizi Mhlongo, who died in a Johannesburg hospital on Saturday.
Mary was laid to rest on Thursday, 9 July.

The South African queen of Gospel Dr Rebecca Malope got to comfort the family and friends with her melodic voice and moving songs.
Dr Malope sang her classical hit ‘Ngiyekelini’, a song about allowing a loved one to rest in heaven, and two other special songs for Mary.
The legendary singer sang about how Mary touched the whole of Africa with her life and how she will always be in our hearts.

Her performance moved those in the audience to tears.
