"It was the most beautiful wedding" - Denise Zimba's special day gets a thumbs up from her celebrity friends.
Denise Zimba and her partner, Jakob Schlichtig, tied the knot at the weekend in a lavish wedding ceremony.
The ceremony was held at the Blaauwklippen Vineyards in Stellenbosch. Denise wore an off-the-shoulder tulle dress with puff sleeves, while her husband looked dashing in a black suit.
She walked down the aisle with the couple's daughter, Leah Lilli-Rose Schlichtig.
Denise took to Instagram on Monday to gush about her "kind and gentle and abundantly loving" husband.
"Jakob, myn man! You are brave to take me on buddy! And because of that, I knew, I couldn’t possibly lose the opportunity the universe has gifted me, with your soul. I love you so much."My protector, my souls keeper, my voice of reason, my reason to live a fulfilled life. Leah and I couldn’t have asked for a more powerful being like yourself. We chose you, and thank you for opening your heart to us," she wrote.
Denise also thanked her wedding photographer, Micky Wiswedel, who she says has been present for every single milestone in her life.
The couple got legally married in January 2020 and have been planning their wedding ever since.
Denise changed into a long-sleeved feathered wedding dress for the reception. She completed the look with a pair of silver heels before changing into sneakers.
Actor and singer, Nicholas Nkuna, serenaded the couple at the reception.
Some of the A-list wedding guests at the event included former Miss South Africa Cindy Nell, K Naomi, Lorna Maseko, Zola Nene, Sihle Ndaba, and Nkateko 'Takkies' Dinwiddy (née Maswanganye).
"It was the most beautiful wedding I’ve been too. WHAT A VIBE," Takkies wrote on Instagram.
Lorna commented: "Aaaahhhh the most beautiful day…. Thank you for letting us be part of such a special day!!!"
