Nonku Williams reflects on fertility struggles

"I will never forget their words, 'Your eggs are rotten'."
'Real Housewives of Durban' star Nonku Williams is looking back on the challenges she faced conceiving her "miracle baby".
The 43-year-old reflected on her journey while celebrating her son Phendulile's sixth birthday this week.
She told her Instagram followers that three specialists told her that she would not be able to conceive, despite having two previous children without complications.
"I will never forget their words 'Your eggs are rotten…therefore even if you do conceive you would not be able to carry full term or if you do then your child would be a special case'. Boy were they wrong!"
Nonku underwent in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment and after two failed attempts, started to question if she would ever fall pregnant again.
"I cried, I begged God and eventually accepted my fate….I would never be able to have more kids," she wrote.
Just when it seemed like all hope was lost for her dream of becoming a mother again, Nonky received some amazing news.
"Six months later I discovered I was pregnant…no IVF’s, no doctors just naturally pregnant! I remember that very day I found out…going secretly to my room, closing the door, and sobbed and God told me to name you Phendulile, for He had answered my prayer. "
