Neymar apologises to pregnant girlfriend for "mistake"
"If a private matter has become public, the apology has to be public" - Neymar has written a lengthy apology to his girlfriend.
Brazilian football star, Neymar Jr., has taken to social media to make a public apology to his pregnant girlfriend, model Bruna Biancardi, and her family.
The 31-year-old did not specify what exactly he was apologising for, but several reports suggest that he has been unfaithful.
"Justify the unjustifiable. No need to. But I need you in OUR lives," the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player wrote in Portuguese.
The Brazil superstar admitted that he had made mistakes.
"I did wrong with you all. I risk saying I'm wrong every day, on and off the pitch. Only I solve my mistakes in [my] personal life at home, in my intimacy with my family and friends..." his post was loosely translated into English.

Neymar added: "I already apologised for my mistakes, for unnecessary exposure, but I feel obligated to come publicly reaffirm that. If a private matter has become public, the apology has to be public."
The footballer ended his post by saying he can't imagine life without Bruna.
"I don't know if we'll work out, but TODAY you're sure I want to try. Our purpose will prevail, our love for our baby will win, our love for each other will make us stronger."

Neymar and Bruna announced they were expecting their first child together in April.
"We dream of your life, we plan your arrival and knowing that you are here to complete our love makes our days much happier. You will arrive in a beautiful family, with your brother, grandparents, uncles and aunties who already love you very much," they wrote in a joint statement.
The former Barcelona star has a son named Davi Lucca from a previous relationship. He is 11 years old.

Neymar and Bruna rekindled their romance in 2023. They called it quits last year amid cheating rumours. They both denied the claims.
They were previously engaged, but it is unclear if they have plans to marry now that they are back together.
Other football stars who have been accused of cheating include David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Gerard Piqué, and former Bafana Bafana star Matthew Booth.
