Lupita Nyong'o surprises Trevor Noah at Jo’burg show
Trevor Noah's Lost in Translation show has been incredibly popular. With every show in Johannesburg completely sold out, it's not surprising that Trevor feels great about coming back home and performing.
However, Friday night (12 June) proved to be an even more special show for the comedian, who had an unexpected audience member come watch him do what he does best.
Actress and Oscar winner Lupita Nyong'o, who is the country shooting parts of a new Disney movie called Queen of Katwe, headed to Montecasino in Jo’burg to see the new Daily Show host in action.
Lupita was clearly impressed, writing on her Instagram: “Best ab workout of the week laughing at his genius stand-up.”
And by the looks of things, Trevor was thrilled to have her in the audience – saying she “made my night”.
Trevor still has a few more shows in Jo’burg in June and then it's off to the States, Canada and the UK for the rest of his tour.
