Locnville's Brian Chaplin becomes a dad for the first time

 Brian Chaplin is officially a dad!

The Locnville star's partner, model Simone De Kock, gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday. They named the newborn Rome. 

The couple's family and friends think Rome looks just like his dad. 

Simone said her labour was tough but worth it. 

"I don’t even know where to begin - our hearts are exploding with Love! Our little Boy is absolutely perfect - it was a tough labor but so incredibly worth it from the moment we laid eyes on him! Brian and I were both in tears and absolute disbelief when he arrived into this world - he is everything we could of imagined AND MORE!

The new mom added that Brian was a "fantastic birth partner". 

"Brian was a fantastic Birth Partner, I’m going to get him to write a ‘How To’ book on Dads in the delivery room. Brian - just when I thought I couldn’t possibly love you more, BOOM, you went and became the best father who wasn’t afraid to get involved from the second he was born! I love you both so much."

Brian and Simone revealed in January that they were expecting. 

"I can’t even express the amount of joy I feel in announcing that @simonedawndk and I are expecting a baby boy in May 2020! I’ve had time to enjoy this moment privately with friends and family and now I want to share it with the world! Simone, I couldn’t picture taking this next step in life with anyone else in the world, I love you more than you’ll ever know," Brian said at the time. 

The new parents have setup an Instagram page for the tot.
