Lil Nas X dropped the custom Nike Air Max 97 ‘Satan Shoes' a few days after releasing his new video, '(MONTERO) Call Me By Your Name'.
The musician gives Satan a pole dance in the video.
His fans praised the video, saying it had nothing to do with Satan worship and everything to do with expressing how queer people are demonised by society.
Lil Nas X also defended the video on Twitter.
“I spent my entire teenage years hating myself because of the s**t y’all preached would happen to me because I was gay. So I hope u are mad, stay mad, feel the same anger you teach us to have towards ourselves,” he tweeted.
But many people think the singer has gone too far with his 'Satan Shoes'.

Lil Nas X can literally give satan a lap dance in his music video, and release a pair of satan shoes, and people still don't believe that there are satan worshippers in the music industry.

Meanwhile, Nike has distanced itself from Lil Nas X's 'Satan Shoes'. The company says it did not design or release the collaboration.
"We do not endorse them," Nike said in a statement.
It looks like Lil Nas X is not too bothered by the controversy over his 'Satan Shoes' or 'Call Me By Your Name' video.
He issued a fake "apology" on his YouTube page.
