Lamiez Holworthy: Please stop asking me for money
Are you comfortable asking strangers for money?
South African DJ Lamiez Holworthy has shared an important public service announcement for her fans.
The 31-year-old is gatvol of strangers asking her for money just because she is a celebrity.
"Please stop asking me for money. I too work really hard and have problems, bills, and responsibilities with no one to run to for pity," she wrote on her Instagram Story.
Lamiez added that some people have gone as far as asking her for a phone.
"Even worse when you guys ask me for iPhones, parties and to pay so you can give birth at a private hospital. Just because work looks fun, doesn't mean it isn't work."
She added that she has deprived herself of many things just so that her children can live a comfortable life.
"There are no sick notes in our field! You don't work, you don't get paid. I suffer from chronic migranes but show up EVERY SINGLE DAY. Why? Coz no one gives a damn! Stop!!!'

As one of South Africa's most in-demand deejays, Lamiez is one of the country's top earners. Her booking fee could be anything from R30,000 to R100,000 based on what other high-profile DJs earn.
Lamiez works hard and she plays hard. She is often pictured on vacation with her husband, rapper Khuli Chana. They jetted off to Italy in November.
The couple also surprised their nanny with a flight of her own. They bought her a ticket so she can fly home to her family in Lesotho during the December 2020 festive season. It was her first time on a plane!
Lamiez, who welcomed her first son with Khuli Chana in 2023, is also known to spoil her loved ones with expensive gifts.
She bought her mother, Imelda Klow, a brand-new Volkswagen SUV for her birthday in January. Lamiez owns a few fancy cars herself.
She spoiled herself with a Mercedes-Benz V-Class in 2021. The DJ also loves designer labels and has been spotted wearing Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, and Maxhosa.
It's no wonder the star's fans think she is rolling in the dough. But she clearly works hard for her money and does not have to give anyone a single cent of it!
