"I felt really guilty that this woman just had my baby and I take the baby."
Khloe Kardashian has opened up about the challenges of parenting a child born through surrogacy.
The reality TV star has a five-year-old daughter True and she recently welcomed her son Tatum, who was born via surrogate in July 2022.
Khloe was speaking with her sibling Kim Kardashian and Scott Disick on 'The Kardashians' reality show, which airs on HULU.
She revealed that she has been feeling guilty about parenting a child who was conceived via surrogacy.
Khloe labeled the whole surrogacy experience as a transaction.
"I felt that it was such a transactional experience because it's not about him," she said.

"I definitely buried my head in the sand during that pregnancy and that I didn't digest what was happening.
"So I think when I went to the hospital, I really think that was the first time that it really registered.
"You're just like, 'Ok, we're having a baby and this is my son and I'm taking him home with me'.
"I definitely was in a state of shock from my entire experience."
The media personality added that she felt guilty for taking the boy from his biological mother.
"I felt really guilty that this woman just had my baby and I take the baby and I go in another room and we are sort of separated. I felt that it was such a transactional experience because it's not about him."
She added that she wished she had known about the 'complexities' of surrogacy before choosing it.
"I wish someone was honest about surrogacy and the difference of it. It doesn't mean it's bad or good. It's still great. It's just very different," she said.
