What doesn't kill you makes you stronger... Kelly Clarkson has to cough up nearly R3-million in spousal and child support payments every month. Her ex-husband reportedly requested R6.4-million per month.
A California court has ordered Kelly Clarkson to pay her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, $200,000 (nearly R3-million) per month, every month.
The money is for both spousal and child support. Kelly has two children, River and Remington, with Brandon.
The couple called it quits in June last year after seven years of marriage. Kelly cited "irreconcilable differences" for the divorce.
According to PEOPLE magazine, a Los Angeles country judge ordered the star to pay $150,000 per month in spousal support and $45,601 for child support.
A source claimed Brandon originally asked for $436,000 (R6,4 million) per month.
According to The Blast, Kelly earns a whopping $1,583,617 (R23.5-million) per month.

Kelly has been involved in a bitter dispute with Brandon's father. Her former father-in-law's management company is suing her for $1.4-million (nearly R24-million).
Starstruck Management Group, which is owned by Narvel Blackstock, says Kelly owes the company the money for unpaid commission.
Kelly has accused the talent agency of charging exorbitant commission fees. The agency represented Kelly for 13 years, despite not having a written management agreement.
Starstruck Management Group says they had a verbal agreement, which was negotiated in 2007.
Kelly is not letting her drama with her ex-husband and his family get her down. She is hard at work promoting the latest season of 'The Voice'.
Ariana Grande will be joining Kelly, John Legend, and Blake Shelton as one of the judges.
