Katy Perry wants to be a "grandma pop star"

Katy Perry hopes she will still be performing when she is a grandma.

"You don't see a lot of grandmas or grandpas in my field, but I'm going to be one of them," she told Gwyneth Paltrow on her 'Goop' podcast.

Katy visited the 'Goop' headquarters recently to talk about her career and spirituality - and to promote her newly launched sparkling non-alcoholic aperitifs, De Soi. 

The 38-year-old says she wants to make music for a very long time. 

"I wanna do it for my daughter, for my family, my partner. A lot of people don't get out alive in both our businesses," she said. 

Katy is engaged to 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star Orlando Bloom. The pair have a two-year-old daughter together named Daisy Dove Bloom.

Katy also talked about her relationship with Orlando. Gwyneth says she has known Orlando for a long time and remembers the couple's first meeting. 

"He's a very special guy and he always puts a smile on your face but I remember when you guys first met. His eyes were so lit up. He was like, 'I've never felt like this.' He was bouncing up and down," Gwyneth said.

Katy says Orlando is the first man in her life who was consistent and kept showing up even when he saw her at her worst. 

"He was there and he was strong; that's a real man... and animals and babies love him."
