Kairo Forbes celebrates first birthday without AKA
Kairo might be celebrating her first birthday without her dad, but DJ Zinle and AKA's mom made sure she had the best day possible.
AKA's family and friends came together to make sure his little girl, Kairo Forbes, was showered with love on her first birthday without him.
The rapper was shot and killed on Durban's Florida Road in February. DJ Zinhle and the 'Fela in Versace' rapper's mother, Lynn Forbes, made sure Kairo had the best day possible.
The trio flew business class to Dubai ahead of Kairo's birthday celebrations on Saturday, July 8. Not only was she treated like a princess on the flight, but she also got to dress up as an air hostess.

Zinhle revealed ahead of the trip that Kairo wanted to travel for her birthday. She planned a big trip to New York but did not get to enjoy the Big Apple with Kairo and Lynn.
The 'Umlilo' hitmaker lost her passport in Dubai and had to fly back to South Africa. Kairo arrived in NYC without Zinhle and without her luggage!
Thankfully her grandmother Lynn, aka 'glammy', was on hand to make the trip a fun adventure. They visited the American Girl store in Manhattan. Times Square and the Museum of Ice-Cream were also on the intinerary.

DJ Zinhle and her husband, Bongani 'Murdah Bongz' Mohosana, took to Instagram on Saturday to wish Kairo a happy birthday.
"@kairo.forbes you are the warmest part of my day. You force me to get up and fulfil every one of my promises, whether it’s taking you to bounce, or buying you that kids' colourful coffee that doesn’t make sense," Bongani, who now goes by the stage name MÖRDA, wrote.
The musician added that he knows AKA is proud of his little girl.
"No matter what you get me to do it. You are so special to me. Thank you for making our relationship easy and full of love. Thank you for being such a great kid to your mom, I know your dad is proud of you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY I LOVE YOU."

AKA's girlfriend, Nadia Nakai, also celebrated Kairo on her big day.
"Happy Birthday @kairo.forbes I love you so much!!! Hope you have a wonderful day!! Can’t wait to see and squeeze you!" she wrote.

DJ Zinhle and the Forbes family have made Nadia part of their family circle and included her in many lunches and dinners.
Nadia joined the family for a dinner date in June. AKA's brother, Steffan Forbes, and his partner Brittany Smith were also in attendance.

Stefan and Brittany also shared sweet birthday posts at the weekend.
"Don't ever change," Steffan captioned a picture of Kairo floating in a body of water.
Brittany shared a video of Kairo showing off her dance moves.
