Jennifer Lopez's new film sets new Netflix record

The film broke the record for Netflix's global Top 10 most-watched TV and films in the week of May 8 to 14.

The Netflix film was released on May 12.
'The Mother' broke the record for being viewed for 83.71-million hours across its opening weekend. This was announced by Netflix's Top 10 website lists stats for the week between May 8 and May 14.
'Luther: The Fallen Sun' held the record of 65.92-million viewing hours during its opening weekend in February.
'The Mother' is about a military-trained assassin who came out of hiding to protect the daughter she's never met from ruthless criminals gunning for revenge.
