Jamie Bartlett's girlfriend remembers him a year after his passing

"It still feels like yesterday."
It's been one year since 'Rhythm City' actor Jamie Bartlett passed away, and the anniversary of his death has brought back painful memories for his girlfriend, Rosa Onious.
The South African actor died in May 2022. Jamie's cause of death was determined to be cardiac arrest.
The 55-year-old left behind an adult son named Hector Bartlett, whom he shared with ex-wife, actress Camilla Waldman.
Jamie's girlfriend Rosa took to Instagram to pay tribute to him on May 23.
"23 May 2023. Time is now 16:17 I finally found the courage to get out of bed and face the severity of the sadness that this day brings to my existence," she captioned a video with some of their memories together.

Rosa added that she made her post at 18:15 - the exact time Jamie departed from this earth.
"My heart is shattered all over again. Today I’m filled with anxiety all over again. Depressed! How did a year go by so fast? It still feels like yesterday. Jamie you are loved and missed dearly, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you and your remarkable presence in my life," she wrote.
One month before his death, Jamie and Rosa were pictured at the premiere of Netflix's local film, 'Silverton Seige'.
She was with him on the day that he died.
"The trauma of being the one who discovered your lifeless body that was full of life and energy just hours before still haunts me and it will forever live with me. Why did it have to be me?" Rosa asked in her post.
Their romance made headlines in 2020 when the actor was spotted with his younger girlfriend. Jamie revealed that he had found love again and his fans noted that he looked happy.
They knew each other for several years before becoming a couple. "Life is better with my everyday day crush by my side," he wrote about Rosa a few weeks before his death.

Rosa says the house still feels empty without Jamie. She adds that they have "finally found the strength" to display and hang up his achievements, awards, and photographs around the home.
"I still can not get over the verity that it is it! That I will never be able to have a conversation with you again, to hold you, to cook together, to eat together, to be your manager... to cry in your arms or coming home to vent to you about my day."
