"Our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever," says Camila and Shawn after going their separate ways.
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's fairy tale romance has come to an abrupt end. The couple has ended their more than two-year relationship a few weeks after they were spotted looking cozy on Halloween.
"Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends.
"We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward," they said in a joint statement.

Camila and Shawn met for the first time in 2014. They were served as opening acts during Austin Mahone’s tour.
They sparked dating rumours one year later when they collaborated on the song, 'I Know What You Did Last Summer'.
By 2018, Camila was describing Shawn as her “favorite person in the whole world". Things started to heat up after the "friends" dropped their smash hit, 'Señorita'.

Camila and Shawn were spotted holding hands in July 2019, but many believed it was a PR stunt for their song.
More than two years later, the couple was still going strong. They were last pictured together a few weeks ago.
Camila has not been shy about publicly declaring her love for the 'Mercy' hitmaker.
"Thankful for your existence every day," she wrote in August. The singer also celebrated their anniversary in July.
"Happy anniversary, Kuko. Here’s to more joy, more friendship, and more love," she wrote.
Shawn also showed Camila some love on Instagram. He congratulated Camila on the release of her 'Cinderella' reboot movie.
'I’m so proud of you. I’ve never seen anybody work as hard as you did to show up every day and be truly professional, kind and authentic. I admire you so much. Such a beautiful movie with a beautiful message. Te amo mi vida," he wrote.
