Gigi Lamayne's partner Liberty 'YBK' Mhlanga passes away

"We had our whole lives ahead of us. I’m in pain" - Gigi is mourning the loss of her "forever babe".
South African musician Gigi Lamayne is heartbroken following the sudden death of her boyfriend, Liberty 'YBK' Mhlanga.
The 'Ice Cream' rapper shared a message from his family, which confirmed his passing.
"It is with great sorry that the Mhlanga family is here to announce the passing of their son, Liberty Mike Mhlanga aka 'YBK'. Please keep the Mhlanga family in your prayers," the statement read.
Gigi paid tribute to YBK, calling him her "forever babe".
"Forever you my babe. Forever us. We had our whole lives ahead of us. I’m in pain. Liberty. We were so close to writing this story. Your last post … could you feel it somehow? We were grown and ready. Why God? Mina Angsazi. Let your will be done," she wrote.

Just this week, YBK, who is also a musician, was gushing about his "ride or die" Gigi.
"Wish I had noticed sooner [I] wanna spend the rest of my life with you," he captioned a picture of them dressed up in matching black outfits for an event.
Gigi commented on the post: "Reporter: who styled you? Who in the stu cooking with you? Who can legit make me smile at 80, wrinkly and frail with dentures on? Vision!!!! Forever! Square up."

No further details about YBK's death were released. YBK was a rapper and producer. He has been spotted with international stars such as French Montana and Migos.
Simphiwe 'Simz' Ngema, whose husband Dumi Masilela was killed in an attempted hijacking in 2017, joined Gigi's friends and family in sending their heartfelt condolences.
"Oh, Mama. Sending you a big hug. I’m so sorry," the actress and singer wrote.
Rapper Da L.E.S. wrote: "Sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences."
Kyle Deutsch commented: "Noooooooo. This hurts... A real one. Here for you."

Gigi revealed in her Instagram Stories that YBK had big plans for his future.
"Our plans were to start our own church. Through your past experiences. Teach people about God. We had given our lives to God. Denounced the world. You had big plans," the 29-year-old wrote.
She wrote in a separate post: "ou were happy. I hope you'll be happier in heaven."
