DJ Zinhle makes 'Top 100 Best Female DJs of 2022' list
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
The votes are in and DJ Zinhle is officially one of 2022's best female DJs in the world.
The results of DJane magazine's annual global 'Top 100 Best Female DJs' list have been released and South Africa's golden girl, DJ Zinhle, made the cut.
The 38-year-old ranked #42 on the list with Belgian DJ, Charlotte de Witte, coming out tops for a second year. Zinhle was #88 on the global list in 2021.
"Thank you for supporting us in this voting. We are happy to make a real voting every year, with a clear system where each participant could see the number of votes given to them. Every year many talents open up and we are happy to help them on their way to the top," DJane wrote on Instagram.

Zinhle was also named the #1 female DJ in Africa for 2022.
White Zinhle noted that it is her fourth year winning the title, she has actually won it five years in a row. The Era by DJ Zinhle founder claimed the top female DJ spot in Africa in 2021, beating DNB Gogo who was in second place. She beat Lerato Kganyago in 2020, Lamiez Holworthy in 2019, and DJ Switch from Ghana in 2018.
Zinhle - who reportedly earns between R70,000 to R100,000 per appearance - is booked and busy this December. Like many top DJs and entertainers, the Festive Season is her busiest time of the year.
But securing the bag comes with a bigger price. Zinhle, whose real name is Ntombezinhle Jiyane, spends a lot more time away from her husband, Bongani 'Mörda' Mohosana. She also has two children, Kairo and Asante.
"I can’t believe how much I miss @murdahbongz … festive season isn’t a joke, I live with my hubby but I miss him & the kids so much because work has been sooooo crazy!" she wrote on Instagram recently.
