Connie Ferguson celebrates Shona Ferguson on his "heavenly birthday"

"Today we are celebrating you for all that you were and still are; a LEGEND!" says Connie on what would have been Shona's 49th birthday.
Twenty-one months after Connie Ferguson lost her husband Shona Ferguson, the actress continues to keep his memory alive.
'The Queen' star took to Instagram recently to pay tribute to Shona on his "heavenly birthday".
"21 months without you physically here and it still feels unreal.🥲Happy heavenly birthday to you my LOVE, the coolest dude I have ever known!" Connie wrote.
The 52-year-old added that she misses him "so much".
"Today we are celebrating you for all that you were and still are; a LEGEND! Continue resting my KING. It is well."

Shona died in 2021 due to COVID-19-related complications. He was 47.
Shona passed away four months before the couple was set to celebrate their 20th anniversary.
Connie celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary in 2022 by sharing a sweet snap taken on their wedding day.
"Tomorrow never came for my bestest friend, but I know how much he loved me. There’s a great comfort that comes with that, knowing just how happy you made someone in this lifetime, and how happy they made you," she wrote.
Conne added that true love never dies.
"I carry this love with me in my heart and soul for eternity. Thank you for the beautiful everlasting love and memories my ANGEL SHO."

Connie is also hard at work managing the business she set up with her late husband.
Ferguson Films continues to flourish under her leadership. Season two of the production company's popular show, 'Kings of Jo'burg', debuted on Netflix in January.
Both Shona and Connie starred in the first season. Connie reprised her role as Masire Mermaid.
She dedicated the season to her husband.
"In memory of the most amazing human being I have ever known, the KING OF JOBURG Shona Ferguson aka Mr. Sho aka Uncle Sho. This is for you my love. Hope you’re proud."
