Connie Chiume hangs out with Rihanna at 'Black Panther' premiere
Connie Chiume looked like an African queen as she joined the rest of the 'Black Panther' cast on the red carpet.
South African actress Connie Chiume attended the 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' world premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday night.
Connie, who reprises her role as a mining tribe elder, got to rub shoulders with the entire cast including Lupita Nyong’o, Letitia Wright, and Angela Bassett.
The 70-year-old looked like an African queen in an outfit by Sheli Nyathi-Masondo.

Connie crossed paths with singer Rihanna - who released her single, 'Lift Me Up', on the same night as the premiere.
"Lol ai shem! GOD IS PHENOMENAL," she captioned a picture with Riri.
Rihanna's new single is an original track for the movie, which will bid a final farewell to the late Chadwick Boseman. He played T'Challa (Black Panther) in the first movie.

Connie, who attended the event with her children, was also pictured with 'The Perfect Guy' actor Michael Ealy and Nigerian superstar Burna Boy.
Another South African actress was also spotted at the premiere was Nomzamo Mbatha. She was spotted inside the theatre for the special screening of the film.
She described the movie as "insanely beautiful", and also praised the team for their "incredible" tribute to Chadwick.
"Worlds created, both on land and below the surface of the Atlantic. The visual effects team did an incredible job. The score... Jesus Christ, the SCORE," she wrote.

Several South Africans appeared in the first 'Black Panther' movie. Veteran actor, John Kani, played King T'Chaka - who is T'Challa's father.
John's son, Atandwa Kani, played a younger version of him in the film. South African comedian Trevor Noah also made a surprise appearance.
He voiced a character named Griot.
'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' will be released in South African cinemas on November 11. Advanced tickets for the film are selling fast, with 'Black Panther' on track for a R3-billion opening week at the box office.
