Charlize Theron has reiterated that she is 100% keen to star in a 'Die Hard' reboot with a lesbian love story.

A Twitter user first suggested the storyline back in December 2020.

"Lesbian Christmas rom coms are all well and good but what I REALLY want is a Die Hard where Charlize Theron goes on a rampage to save her wife," the tweep wrote.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, the South African-born actress said she would take on the role if offered.

"It’s a great idea. That’s why I replied on Twitter. Because I just thought that was kind of brilliant. I was like, 'This person needs to start pitching. That’s a great idea.' And the fact that it would be two women, I was like, 'Yeah, sign me on.'"

Twitter users were divided about whether 'Die Hard' franchise should ditch its leading man for Charlize.

"H MY GOD YES - I LOVE HER. she is fierce and beautiful. Come on," one woman wrote.

Another Twitter user commented: "Die Hard is Bruce Willis' franchise. Try again."

Charlize's fan will get to see her next in Netflix's 'School of Good and Evil'. The film will also star Kerry Washington.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie is based on Soman Chainani's book of the same name. Students at the school are trained to be heroes and villains.
