Britney Spears reconnects with her mother after conservatorship fallout

Time heals all wounds! Britney and Lynne Spears are working on their relationship.
Britney Spears has reunited with her estranged mother, Lynne Spears, after a years-long estrangement.
The '...Baby One More Time' hitmaker took to Instagram to share a heartwarming update about their relationship. She revealed that Lynne showed up at her doorstep after three years.
"It's been such a long time... with family there's always things that need to be worked out... but time heals all wounds," she wrote.
The 41-year-old added that she finally got a chance to speak her mind.
"After being able to communicate what I've held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT."
Britney ended her emotional post with a heartwarming message for Lynne.
"I love you so much."
The mother and daughter also made plans to meet up for a coffee date - their first in 14 years.
Britney Spears Conservatorship
Britney fell out with her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears, due to her 13-year conservatorship. A judge ended the conservatorship in November 2021.
The singer revealed shocking details about her time under the conservatorship. She told the court that she was forced to work all the time.
Britney also said that she was not allowed to get married or have children.
"I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship, I’m not able to get married or have a baby, I have a (IUD) inside of myself right now so I don’t get pregnant. I wanted to take the (IUD) out so I could start trying to have another baby. But this so-called team won’t let me go to the doctor to take it out because they don’t want me to have children – any more children. So basically, this conservatorship is doing me waaay more harm than good," she said in her court testimony.

Britney did not invite her parents and her siblings, Jason and Jamie Lynne Spears, to her wedding to Sam Asghari in January 2002.
Her two sons with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, were also not in attendance. He claimed in an interview with ITV that Jayden James and Sean Preston had not been in contact with their mother for months.
He claimed they did not like the nude pictures Britney constantly shared on her Instagram page. Britney's husband clapped back at Kevin's interview. Sam said Kevin was only worried about his child support payments coming to an end.
"The boys are very smart and will be 18 soon to make their own decisions and may eventually realize the "tough" part was having a father who hasn't worked much in over 15 years as a role model," Sam wrote on Instagram.
Britney reportedly makes $20,000 (R390,000) per month in child support payments to Kevin.
Selena Gomez, Madonna, Drew Barrymore, and Paris Hilton were some of the famous faces at Britney's wedding.

Britney also appears to be mending things with another family member. She seemingly extended an olive branch to her sister Jamie Lynne in December last year.
The singer shared a picture of Jamie Lynne on her Instagram page while celebrating her 41st birthday.
"It’s my b-day but you’re my heart so I’m thinking about you. Congratulations on being so brave, inspiring, and showing guts and glory in your show!!! You ain’t alone. If anybody knows what that feels like, I get it. My baby sister!!! I love you!!!" she wrote in a since-deleted caption.
