The 'Black Panther' sequel is coming to cinemas on May 6, 2022!

Director Ryan Coogler made the announcement at Disney's D23 Expo in California a few days ago.

"We’re not taking our time, we’re really trying to get it right,” Variety quoted Coogler as saying.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige says they already have a villain for the sequel.

But fans will have a long wait before more details about the movie are revealed.

'Black Panther', which starred a predominantly black cast, broke box office records when it was released in 2018.

It grossed more than $1.3-billion worldwide and received a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film also won three Academy Awards for 'Best Original Score', 'Best Production Design', and 'Best Costume Design'.
