Durban, show us what you've got! Auditions for Big Brother Mzansi kick off this weekend in the city.
Big Brother is returning to South Africa after 11 years, and the show's producers have promised it will be bigger and better than before.
This time around the reality show will be called Big Brother Mzansi and will air on DSTV's Mzansi Magic channel.
Head of Programming, Vuyo Sokupa, says Big Brother is enjoying a lot of success in Africa, and they thought now would be the perfect time to bring the it back to the SA market.
"We looking for people who can showcase fun and exciting personalities. Just show us your vocal, fun loving, creative and original self.
"And you have got to be articulate. At the end of the day you have got to let South Africa fall in love with you," she said.
Vuyo says the show will follow the basic format rules, but with a few twists added in.
"We want to surprise the audience and not give them something that they would expect. There'll be a lot of surpises but I can't divulge any of that right now."
The winner will walk away with R1-million and other prizes still to be announced.
Auditions for the show kick off at the BAT centre tomorrow and Sunday (12th & 13th of October).
"It's the first audition, so we are hoping that people are excited. We want to see the creative people of Durban. Show us what you go; it's your five minutes to shine" she says.
