Emmys loading? Beyoncé is reportedly working on an 'Imitation of Life' remake.
Beyoncé and Zendaya could soon be working on a new movie together. According to the Daily Mail, Beyoncé is in talks to remake the 1959 film, 'Imitation of Life'.
The 40-year-old will reportedly take on a producer role. The 'Halo' hitmaker allegedly wants Zendaya to star as one of the leads in the movie.
"Imitation Of Life is renowned in the film world because of the issues it tackled — and they seem more relevant than ever right now," an industry insider told the publication.
The movie is an adaptation of the 1933 novel of the same name. The book was written by bestselling author Fannie Hurst.
Fannie tackled issues such as feminism, racism, and inequality in her novels. According to Good Reads: 'Imitation Of Life' tells the story of "Bea Pullman, a white single mother, and her African American maid, Delilah Johnston, also a single mother, rear their daughters together and become business partners."
The book was adapted into two films, one in 1934 and another in 1959.

Insiders believe Zendaya, who is one of Hollywood's most in-demand actresses at the moment, is a perfect fit for the film.
It's not the first time Beyoncé and Zendaya have teamed up on a project. Zendaya made an appearance in Beyoncé's visual album, 'Lemonade'. She starred in the 'All Night' music video.
The 25-year-old made history in 2021 when she became the second black woman to win a 'Best Actress in a Drama' Emmy for her role on HBO's hit show, 'Euphoria'.
Season two of the show has also created major awards buzz for the actress, with many predicting another Emmy nomination for the former Disney star.
Zendaya recently also starred in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' with British actor Tom Holland. The couple has been enjoying some quality time together in-between promoting their current projects.
They were spotted at a hockey game in New York this week.
