Baby #12! Nick Cannon welcomes 5th child in 2022
It's a girl! Meet Halo Marie - the newest addition to Nick's growing family.
Nick Cannon is officially a father of 12 after welcoming five children from five different women in 2022. Model Alyssa Scott took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal that she gave birth to Halo Marie on December 14.
Halo is her second child with Nick. Their son Zen died in December 2021 at just five months old. Alyssa says she knows his spirit was with them in the delivery room.
"I know he is watching down on us, he shows me signs every day. I will hold onto this memory forever. I will remember the sound of Nick's voice saying “it’s a girl” and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face. I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine. My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon!" she captioned a video of the birth on Instagram.
This is Alyssa's third child. She has an older daughter from a previous relationship.

Nick opened up about fatherhood in an interview with Kevin Hart that aired in November.
"[Being a father] gives me the ability to say, 'I can affect so much'... Now I have to be man enough to stand firm in who I am so that I can be an example to them," he told Kevin on the 'Hart to Hart' talk show.
