The former Pietermaritzburg Girls’ High School learner will be flying South Africa's flag high overseas.
KwaZulu-Natal beauty Ayanda Thabethe has been named as South Africa's contestant for the Miss Supranational pageant.
Ayanda, who hails from Taylor’s Halt in Pietermaritzburg, was crowned Miss SA 2022 runner-up in August last year.
"We are thrilled to announce that @ayanda_thxbethe will be representing us at the @misssupranational competition, which will be taking place on the 14th of July in Poland," Miss SA officials revealed on Tuesday.
Ayanda will be following in the footsteps of reigning Miss Supranational, Lalela Mswane, who won the title in 2022.
Lalela, who is also from KZN, was the first black woman to win the pageant.
