AKA is shaking up the entertainment industry again. The rapper has revealed that he will be launching his very own app, which will be called AKA TV.

The 'Jika' hitmaker's subscription channel will go live on the App Store and Google Play on Friday. AKA shared details about his new app during 'The Megacy Address' on Instagram Live on Wednesday.

The app will serve as a central hub for all things AKA. His fans will get exclusive previews of his upcoming music and access to behind-the-scenes clips, including studio sessions.

AKA revealed during his live announcement that subscribers will be able to watch documentaries and specialist shows, including 'The SupaMega Show'.

"Brand New music dropping the week after next. Will probably perform them on #TheSupMegaShow on #AKATV next week ... just to be safe. Who knows," he wrote on Twitter.

If you missed the 32-year-old's 'AKA Orchestra On The Sqaure' concert in March, you can catch-up on the live performance on his new app.

Some of AKA's A-list friends, including Moozlie, Emtee, and Da L.E.S, are also expected to make appearances on the platform.

“The launch of #AKATV is testament to Kiernan’s progressiveness and forward-thinking as a musician and businessman. This is something he has wanted to do for a long time and we’re proud to see this initiative come to fruition,” Vth Season’s Raphael Benza said in a statement.

Fans can expect to pay a R49 subscription fee for the exclusive digital content on AKA's new app.
