'We did it' - Lil Nas X celebrates 'Old Town Road' milestone

One of Lil Nas X's music videos has reached a huge milestone on YouTube. The rapper's video for his hit song, 'Old Town Road', has officially reached one-billion views on the online video-sharing platform.
The single catapulted Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, to stardom in 2019.
'Old Town Road' was originally released in 2018 as an independent record but was later picked up by Columbia Records.
The rap-country song raced to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 when it was re-released in March 2019. Country superstar, Billy Rae Cyrus, hopped on the song's remix.
'Old Town Road' won several awards including two Grammys and an American Music Award.
Lil Nas X is thrilled that the song's video has reached 1BN views. It's his first official YouTube video to achieve the feat.
"We did it," the 23-year-old tweeted.

Luis Fonsi currently is the artist with the most watched music video on YouTube. His single, 'Despacito', has more than seven-billion views.
Ed Sheeran's 'Shape of You' and Wiz Khalifa's 'See You Again' have five-billion views.
Lil Nas X has released several other smash hits since his 'Old Town Road' debut. His singles, 'Montero (Call Me By Your Name)' and 'Industry Baby' featuring Jack Harlow also reached the number one spot.
'Holiday', 'Panini', and 'Thats What I Want' also did well on the charts.
