Tyla collaborates with Ayra Starr on 'Girl Next Door'
Two rising African stars are joining forces on a hot new track.
South African singer Tyla has teamed up with Benin-born Nigerian artist Ayra Starr on a new song called, 'Girl Next Door'.
Tyla, who is often called Africa's Ariana Grande, started teasing the collaboration last week and asked her fans to guess who would feature on her next track.
Some people said Chris Brown because he included the 'Getting Late' hitmaker on his recent European tour.
But many correctly predicted that it was Ayra as Tyla had previously mentioned that she was inspired by the rising singer.
Ayra has worked with artists such as Kelly Rowland, Wizkid, and British rapper Stormzy.
She also made it onto Barack Obama's famous playlist. Every year the former US president releases his top 25 songs.
He included Ayra's 'Rush' as track #10 of his 2022 playlist.
"The funny thing about that is that, the morning before the list came out. I was in the shower and I was like, I really would really like to be on Barack Obama’s list for next year. I just thought about it, I didn’t know it was coming out. And I prayed, and I was like, ‘God, please just do this one for me. Please," she told Daily Post Nigeria.

Tyla's fans are hoping she works with Nigerian superstar Rema next. She has been spotted with the 'Beamer (Bad Boys)' hitmaker on several occasions in the past.
Rumours have been swirling that the pair are dating. Rema currently has a song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. His 'Calm Down' remix with Selena Gomez sits at #5.
Tyla spends a lot of time in America after signing a global record deal with Sony’s Epic Records USA.
The 21-year-old is hoping to crack the US market and at the rate she is going, it won't be long before Africa's Ariana Grande becomes a mega superstar.
