The rapper and music producer was speaking in an exclusive interview for the upcoming Netflix series, 'This Is Pop'.

He says the multi-award-winning artist told him he messed up music.

“Usher was my friend,” T-Pain said.

“I really respect Usher. And he said, ‘I’m gonna tell you something, man. You kinda f**cke*d up music,'” he said.

Not only did Usher accuse him of messing up music, but the 'Can't Believe It' hitmaker says Usher even told him he messed up music for "real singers".

“And then he was like, ‘Yeah man you really fuc*** up music for real singers,'” T-Pain said during the interview.

“I was like, ‘What did I do? I came out and I used Auto-Tune.’ He was like, ‘Yeah, you f**ked it up.’ I’m like, ‘But I used it, I didn’t tell everybody else to start using it',” he added.

This was the beginning of his depression. The rapper says he battled with depression for four years.

“That is the very moment, and I don’t even think I realized this for a long time, but that’s the very moment that started a four-year depression for me,” he said.
