Drake has a net worth of more than $150-million (R2.7-billion) but there was once a time when he was paid less than R2,000 to perform.
Canadian rapper Drake has come a long way since his days of being an opening act for rap icon, Ice Cube.
The 'God's Plan' hitmaker has confirmed that he was paid $100 (R1,800) in 2006 to perform at the Kool Haus in Toronto. Ice Cube was the headline act at the time.
He shared a screenshot of a post detailing the amount on his Instagram Story.
"This is for anyone getting $100 a show... keep going," he captioned the screenshot.

The rapper is living large these days and owns one of the most expensive houses in Canada. Drake's Toronto mansion, which has been nicknamed, 'The Embassy', reportedly cost him a whopping $100-million.
He reportedly pays around R65,000 a week to keep his mansion clean. The house has a two storey closet, NBA regulation-size indoor basketball court, basement pool, and a 20,000-piece Swarovski crystal chandelier.
"“Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong," he told Architectural Digest.
