Selena Gomez announces "fun little song" is dropping soon

Battle of the pop stars! Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, and Ariana Grande all have special music surprises planned for their fans this week.
Two months after sharing pictures of herself in a recording studio in Paris, Selena Gomez has announced the release of a brand new single.
The 31-year-old's first solo song in almost a year will be called, 'Single Soon'. The track drops on Friday, August 25.
Selena shared news about the new offering on her Instagram page. She also revealed that her upcoming fourth studio album will be called 'SG3'.
"Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer. SINGLE SOON," she wrote.

Selena last released a solo single in November 2022. 'My Mind & Me' was released alongside her Apple TV+ documentary of the same name.
The song was shortlisted for 'Best Original Song' at the 2023 Oscars alongside artists such as Taylor Swift ('Carolina') and Rihanna ('Lift Me Up'). It did not make the final list of nominees but received major praise from music critics.
The 'Wolves' singer also featured on the remix of Rema's hit single, 'Calm Down', in 2022. The song peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
Selena's new music is expected to have an upbeat and empowering tone. She previously stated that she wants her album to make people feel good.
"If I had my way, I would probably write ballads my whole life, but I want to produce music that will make people smile," she told Vanity Fair in a March 2023 interview.
Her fans are eager to see which artists she will collaborate with on the album. Rumours were swirling a few months ago that she was working on a song with Zayn Malik after they were spotted out together.
But that seems unlikely after they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
