Nicki Minaj changes 'Pink Friday 2' release date
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Dear Barbz... Nicki's highly anticipated new album won't drop until November, but she says it will be worth the wait.
Nicki Minaj's fans will have to wait a little while longer to listen to her fifth studio album.
The 'Super Freaky Girl' hitmaker revealed this week that she has decided to push back the album's release date to 17 November 2023.
It was originally supposed to drop on 20 October 2023.
"Due to some really exciting news that I’ll share with you guys @ a later time, I’ve shifted the album date just a tad bit. Trust me, it’ll be WELL WORTH THE WAIT," the 40-year-old wrote on Instagram.
To make up for changing the album's release, Nicki decided to share the album's official title. She revealed that it will be called, 'Pink Friday 2' - which is the sequel to her debut album of the same name.
Her debut featured hits such as 'Super Bass', 'Moment 4 Life', and 'Right Thru Me'. Nicki promised to share her new album's cover soon.
"I love you guys so much. I am so grateful for the years of support & love you guys have given me. At times maybe I didn’t even deserve all that you have poured into me. Nonetheless, you. will. love. this. album. I will give tour deets closer to that time, but obviously, the tour will start around the first quarter of 2024."

Nicki Minaj continues to release music ahead of the album's release. Her new song with Ice Spice, 'Barbie World', dropped last week.
The song features on the soundtrack for the new 'Barbie' movie starring Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie. The track samples Aqua's 1997, 'Barbie Girl'.
The 'Barbie World' music video is currently trending at number two on YouTube Music. The video has garnered more than 14-million views since its release on 23 June.
"Nicki has been going for 15+ years and still delivering flows and wordplay. So much respect for the Queen of Rap," one YouTube user commented.
Another user added: "They had 2 minutes to slay and they exactly did that."
