Actress Camila Mendes stars in The Chainsmokers' official video for 'Side Effects'.
The Chainsmokers are back with a brand new video. The duo released the video for their single, 'Side Effects' featuring Emily Warren, on YouTube this week.
The video stars 'Riverdale' actress Camila Mendes, who plays hotel employee Riley.
Riley decides to throw herself a one-woman party after getting a call that she needs to work over the weekend.
She strips off her uniform and heads to the pool for what has to be the most exciting night shift any hotel employee has ever experienced.
The Chainsmokers' Drew Taggart says the "upbeat" song is perfect for the summertime. He explained the meaning behind the track's lyrics during an interview with Billboard magazine last month.
"We love writing about millennial relationships, for better or worse. [Laughs.] But we write about what we observe, and we write about making bad decisions often, as you'll hear in the song. But also kind of being impulsive in getting into them, and also living in the moment, as we find beauty in those small moments.," he said.
