Taylor Swift’s top four break-up songs

If
you are going through a break-up, then these Taylor Swift songs are just what you
need in your life.
Taylor Swift is undoubtedly the queen of break-up songs.
She turns her personal relationship fails into epic chart toppers.
The 27-year-old has had her heart broken by some of the most famous men on the planet, so naturally her break-up songs would be filled with a lot of heartache.
Some of Taylor’s exes include Zac Efron, Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer, Taylor Lautner, and One Direction's Harry Styles.
She got up close and personal with another One Direction band member recently.
Taylor teamed up with Zayn Malik for the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack, 'I Don’t Want To Live Forever'. The track is currently number eight on the Coca-Cola Top 40 chart.
Her latest sad love song might be based on pure fiction, but these break-up songs are not!
Here are Taylor’s top four break-up songs:
I Knew You Were Trouble
By 2012, Taylor Swift had her fair share of famous break-ups, and the title of this hit single says it all. “I think part of me knew the second I saw him that this would happen. It's not really anything he said or anything he did. It was the feeling that came along with it,” she sings on the song. The track is apparently about Harry Styles, and Taylor all but confirmed it when she performed at the Grammys. She mocked the singer's British accent, and told the audience, "Well, it's not hard to access that emotion when the person the song is directed at is standing by the side of the stage watching."
We Are Never Ever
Getting Back Together
Actor Jake Gyllenhaal was reportedly the inspiration for this Taylor Swift song. The video for the hit also featured a Jake lookalike who just happened to give her a scarf like the one the actor gave her in real life. “I say, ‘I hate you’, we break up, you call me, ‘I love you’. Ooh, we called it off again last night. But ooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you, we are never ever ever getting back together,” she sings on this single.
Dear John
No points for guessing which famous ex this Taylor Swift song is about. Of all her break-ups, it seems John Mayer played the most mind games. “Long were the nights when my days once revolved around you… You paint me a blue sky and go back and turn it to rain. And I lived in your chess game but you changed the rules everyday,” she sings on 'Dear John'. The heartbreaker in question told Rolling Stone that Taylor “humiliated” him with the song. "It made me feel terrible, because I didn't deserve it. I'm pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do,” John said in the 2012 interview.
Back To December
It seems Taylor's heart was filled with regret following her break-up from 'Twilight' actor Taylor Lautner. "So this is me swallowing my pride. Standing in front of you saying I'm sorry for that night, and I go back to December all the time. It turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you, wishing I'd realised what I had when you were mine," she sings.
