Shawn Mendes gave his fans a taste of what they can expect from his upcoming album.
Shawn Mendes is hours away from releasing his highly-anticipated self-titled album. To celebrate the release, Shawn held a secret listening session for his fans.
He invited 15 of his fans to the session, which took place at the Woodshed studio in Malibu.
The 19-year-old said he wanted to see their reactions as they listened to his new songs.
Shawn played his latest single, 'Nervous', and several other unreleased tracks.
The 'Mercy' hitmaker also gave his lucky fans a preview of his song, 'Youth', featuring Khalid. The track, which was inspired by the bombing outside an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester last year, is currently at number 37 on the Coca-Cola Top 40.
"I love this idea of 'youth' - not our age, not us being young, but that thing inside of us that makes us think the world is amazing. You know, that childish lens that makes you wake up and think you can kind of do anything. And every time one of these... horrific things happen, that youth gets pulled away from us a little bit more," he said.

Shawn released the audio for 'Nervous' on his YouTube page on Wednesday but the video is currently unavailable.
One of his fans created a lyric video for the track, which many believe sounds like Selena Gomez's 'Bad Liar'.
