Lorde drops new single ahead of album release
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Lorde treated her fans to a new song just days before she releases her new album.
Lorde has released a fourth single off her highly-anticipated second album, which is set for release this week.
The 20-year-old's new song 'Sober' came out on Friday, and it is already creating major buzz.
A review on the Spin labelled the track as the "strangest, coolest melodrama song yet".
It has also been described as the strongest single released so far off her upcoming album.
Lorde has already released three songs, 'Green Light', 'Liability', and 'Perfect Places'.
All three singles have been praised by music critics, but have had a lukewarm response from charts across the global.
'Green Light' is doing well on the Coca-Cola Top 40 with Carol and Ricky, and is currently in the Top 20.
The New Zealand singer's new album, 'Melodrama', will be released on Friday, June 16.
