Listen: Sam Smith and Calvin Harris team up on 'Promises'

Calvin Harris has just dropped a brand new song featuring Sam Smith called 'Promises'. 

They both took to Twitter on Friday to share a link to the single's lyric video.

Two days before the track was released, Sam shared a picture of himself having a drink with the Scottish DJ on a rooftop.

Fans correctly predicted that the pair were about to release a hot new collaboration.

'Promises' has been described as a "sexy dance number".

“I make no promises/ I can’t do golden rings/ But I’ll give you everything/ Magic is in the air/ There ain’t no science here/ So come get your everything," Sam sings on the song.

The song has already been declared a hit by Calvin and Sam's fans, who took to Twitter to sing its praises. 

One Direction member Liam Payne is also a big fan of the track. He shared a video of himself dancing to 'Promises' while getting his hair done.

His ex-girlfriend, Cheryl, also posted a video of herself jamming to the single.

'Promises' is already a worldwide hit. "Number 1 WW iTunes with Promises !!! Thank you so much!!!" Calvin tweeted. 

Calvin's collaboration with Dua Lupa, 'One Kiss', is also doing well on charts around the world.

It's currently at number four on the Coca-Cola Top 40.
