Demi Lovato sings 'not sober anymore' in a song about her relapse.
Demi Lovato dropped a new single on Thursday that reveals she recently relapsed after six years of sobriety.
The 25-year-old released the lyric video for 'Sober' on her YouTube page, which details her broken sobriety.
"I don't know why I do it every time / It's only when I'm lonely," she sings in the song.
Demi also apologises to her parents.
"Mama, I’m so sorry I’m not sober anymore / And daddy please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor."
Earlier this year, her fans raised questions about her sobriety after she was spotted with what appeared to be an alcoholic drink during a night out on the town with her friends. In pictures posted by her gals pals, the glass appears to be shaded out but one friend, Hayley Kiyoko, shared the image with the glass clearly visible.
Demi hit back, saying: “I don’t have to defend anything but it was Red Bull".
A few days later, Demi announced that she was cancelling the rest of her South American tour dates due to "production issues".

In 'Sober', Demi sings: "I’m sorry for the fans I lost who watched me fall again / I wanna be a role model, but I'm only human."
She also promises to get help.
"I'm sorry that I'm here again. I promise I'll get help. It wasn't my intention. I'm sorry to myself."

Rapper Iggy Azalea says she is proud of Demi being so open about her struggles with addiction.
"Waking up listening to @ddlovato "sober". I'm proud of you for having the guts to reveal your truth to the world again. NOT. EASY. I'm here for you friend! (you know this) I pray you'll choose recovery again. All of us who love you only want to see you happy and heathy (sic)," she tweeted.
