Cassper Nyovest's 'Tito Mboweni' video makes global news

Tito Mboweni's recent appointment as South Africa's finance minister has resulted in some international exposure for rapper Cassper Nyovest.
Cassper Nyovest wrote a song called 'Tito Mboweni' in 2017 that was widely panned by music critics. One year later, the track is making news around the world and is being declared a "hit" by his haters.
Tito Mboweni was named South Africa's new finance minister this week after Nhlanhla Nene's shock resignation.
The story was covered by international media, including CNN, who used a clip from Cassper's video in a news report.
"How many finance ministers do you know have a song written about them?" Johannesburg-based business correspondent Eleni Giokos asked a CNN anchor during a live crossing.
"Exactly zero," the anchor replies.
Eleni continues: "Cassper Nyovest made a song called 'Tito Mboweni' that came out last year. It hit number one within twenty minutes of being released on iTunes. They say he prophecised this happening."

Rapper iFani famously caused a stir shortly after the song was released when he described it as "trash".
He was left with egg on his face when the track's video garnered three-million views on YouTube several months later. iFani apologised for his comments.
Cassper is having the last laugh yet again thanks to all the international press his song is getting.
"Heh heh Trash. This is the beginning of a decline what what what. This song is horrible... Hahaha. Ha ke sa le retsa lona bo tsebinkie. Sha sha Shut Up!!!!" he wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
#ShaSha, which are lyrics from the song, trended on Twitter.
