Cardi B's maternity leave is officially over!
American rapper Cardi B has revealed she is returning to the studio three weeks after giving birth to her daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus.
The 25-year-old took to Instagram on Monday to reveal she planned to "cook up some new music" for her fans. She also shared an Instagram Story that showed she was in a studio.
Cardi no doubt wants to keep the momentum going after the success of her debut studio album, 'Invasion of Privacy'.
The offering debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 when it was released in April.
Sixteen weeks later and the album remains in the Top 5.
"Thank you guys for keeping Invasion of privacy in the top 5 still! Today I’m going to finally step out and hit the studio .Cook up some new music for yaaa. I love ya. 16 weeks on the top ten thanks to Bardigang!" Cardi wrote on Instagram.
The 'Bodak Yellow' star was also excited that her single, 'I Like It', is at number two on The Hot 100, behind Drake's 'In My Feelings'.
'I Like It' is the number one song on the Coca-Cola Top 40. Her collaboration with Maroon 5, 'Girls Like You', is at number four.

Cardi was also excited that her husband, rapper Offset, also has a single on the chart.
"Kulture was soo happy that both her parents are in the top ten on billboards that she doodle on me. Thank you for the support!" she said on Instagram.
The Bronx native might be heading back to the studio to get some work done on her next music projects but she had to pull out of her tour with Bruno Mars because she "underestimated this whole mommy thing".
"I've decided I won't be joining Bruno on tour this Fall. I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically. I also thought that I'd be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing," she said in a statement.
